Rear Control Arm Installation
Taurus Rear Arm Torque Specs : 75 ft-lbs

The rear control arm on a Taurus consists of 2 bars that go from the center of the frame to the rear hubs. They contain 2 bolts on each side and basically keep the rear hub in place along side the rear strut. The bolts for this part should be torqued down to 75 ft-lbs.
Rear Swaybar Installation

The rear swaybar for the ford taurus is a connecting link between the rear struts and hub. It has 2 connecting points being located on the top and bottom of the bar which is simply 2 nuts. It also has 2 brakets that hold the bar to the bottom of the vehicle frame. To remove the old swaybar you can remove the 2 nuts and then slide the endlink out from its holding place on the strut. You then can remove the bracket bolts in order to drop the swaybar from the vehicle. To install a new swaybar you have to first bolt the swaybar up using the bracket bolts and then connect the endlinks to the struts and hub. The bracket bolts need to be tightened down to 30 ft-lbs and the endlinks to 10 ft-lbs.
