How to change the rear brakes

The rear brakes on the Ford Edge are disc brakes which are similar to the front brakes on this vehicle. The brakes consist of a caliper, pads, and a brake bracket. To install new brake pads you only have to remove the brake caliper and swap out the pads. When reinstalling the brake caliper you must torque the caliper sliding bolts to 19 ft-lbs. If you need to remove the entire brake bracket for any job when you go to reinstall it make sure to torque its bolts to 100 ft-lbs.
